He is a highly skilled endoscopist with extensive experience in both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Alongside his broad general practice, Dr Pillay has particular expertise in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis. He serves as the IBD Clinical Lead at Colchester Hospital, where he oversees the management of complex cases. He established the IBD clinical trials service in Essex, providing patients with access to the latest therapeutic innovations.
